Saturday 15 December 2007 @ 3:55 pm

But for Tamil film people, Malayasia is lucky. S Ve Shekar filmed his ‘Vegam’ completely in Malaysia. Then ‘Billa’ was also shot entirely in Malaysia. After Ajith, it is Vijay’s film ‘Kuruvi’ that is to be shot there. Along with director Dharani, Vijay and Trisha will go to Malaysia.
Since the ‘Kuruvi’ story takes place in Tamilnadu, why are they going to Malaysia? For shooting a song sequence, of course! After celebrating New Year here, the ‘Kuruvi’ team will go to Malaysia.

Vijay under Cheran’s Direction – undisclosed Kollywood News

Wednesday 12 December 2007 @ 5:56 pm

Actor Vijay

Veering away from commercial films, Vijay has been encouraged to do meaningful roles. While most top heroes in Tamil waver to do pragmatic roles , nowadays many directors themselves turn heroes. Ilaya Dalapathi has announced that he is ready to give it a go.

When talking at a function in Chennai, Vijay said, “Cheran is a wonderful director. In ‘Pudhiya Geethai’ I acted for 4 days under his directorial supervision. He has the talent of getting the best out of an actor. I want to do a full length film under his direction, but he seems to have turned into an actor himself.”

In response, Cheran said he’s ready to fulfill Vijay’s wish. “Vijay is to have acted in ‘Pokkisham.’ It was I who did not make use of the call sheet he gave. If I get another prospect, I would love to direct Vijay in a different kind of role,” said Cheran and Vijay nodded his head in assent. Following this, Vijay has decided to check out stories with Cheran. So get ready to see Vijay in a film directed by Cheran, in the near future.

Vijay-Prabhu Deva mutually again

Tuesday 11 December 2007 @ 8:15 am

When Ilaiyathalapathy joined hands with the actor-director Prabhu Deva, they brought out the super hit Pokkiri. The movie was the remake of Prabhu Deva’s Telugu Pokiri, which was also a big hit. And now, the director is busy making the same in Hindi with Salman Khan in the lead. Looks like he’s trying to make the best of a winning script.

Well, if the movie scrape in much moolah and rave reviews again, what will Prabhudeva do next? It happens quite often that when a non-Bollywood person makes a mark in Bollywood, their return to home ground will be delayed, till they meet a rough patch there. So will the South lose a talented director if the Hindi Pokkiri strikes the right chords?

No way! Our man is all set to return home and make another Tamil flick with Vijay in the lead! Once he’s capitalized on the winning script, he’s ready to see if his winning combination with Vijay will work for him again! Now, add to this combo Vadivelu–it’s already giving Vijay fans are to get excited!

It’s a nice experience for me to work with Vijay. Since Kuruvi is my first production, he taught me many things. He is simple, delightful and friendly, says Udayanidhi Stalin, grandson of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, who is making his foray as a producer in Kuruvi.
Heaping praise on the actor, Udyanidhi says, ‘when I approached with the idea, he immediately gave his consent. But this was before two years. I had to wait till 2007 to start the works, as he is busy with prior commitments. It’s my enjoyment to work with him.’
On Kuruvi, the proud owner of Red Giant banner says, ‘Vijay and director Dharani proved themselves succesful in Ghilli. We just want to repeat the magic. The script is interesting, attractive and racy. Hope everything will come out well.’

Vijay Plays Censor!

Friday 7 December 2007 @ 7:31 pm

actor vijay

Hero Vijay is now busy with his latest film ‘Kuruvi’. After watching the rushes, Vijay has donned the role of a censor. He has optional some cuts. Most of them pertain to his action scenes. Vijay feels that some scenes are too dreamlike, even for his die-hard fans.
Hence he wants some of the actions scenes to be either chopped or toned down. Just goes to show that Vijay has his ears pressed firmly to the ground. In an age when heroes want bigger and bigger fights and stunts, Vijay seems to hold a absolutely opposite view, very sensible, but grounded in reality!
