Ilayathalapathy Vijay and the unit of Prabhu Deva’s Villu, produced by Ayngaran International are leaving for Switzerland on Thursday night (July 31).
The unit will be in Switzerland for nearly a month as they will be canning two songs and some scenes. As per unconfirmed reports story wise the hero goes abroad in second half of the film to track down the killers of his father.
Ravi Varman is the cameraman of this action adventure film, while music is by Devi Sri Prasad. Earlier the unit wanted to shoot in France, but due to certain technical problems it had to be changed at the last minute.
Vijay and Ajith project themselves as close friends; they are bitter enemies in their career competitions. We have seen how Vijay made Trisha to pull down Ajith’s cut-out during last Deepavali.
Since Ajith goes selective, Aegan will be creating flutters when released for Deepavali. Vijay’s movies are doing very bad in theaters in recent times and he wants to give a break through Vil which is being released on Deepavali day.
This year Deepavali will be a great boon to the fans of both the stars and for sure there will be street quarrels between both!
Actor Vijay before started to shoot for the film ‘Villu’ had signed an agreement with Balasubramaniam of AVM Productions for a film. Now, director of the film has been confirmed and he is none other than the King of Commercial Films Director Perarasu. He holds the special credit of framing successful career graph of Vijay with his two continuous hits ‘Thiruapacchi’ and ‘Sivakasi’. Director Perarasu had approached Vijay with the script and with his efforts, he could convince him. Soon after the release of Villu, shooting for this untitled film will begin. Rest of the star-casts and crewmembers of the film are yet to be confirmed.

Cast and crew of Villu including director Prabhudeva will very soon be packing their bags and some woolen for their overseas shoot schedules. The entire Villu team is flying to France and Ukraine for filming song sequences very soon, as per sources. Shoots will be carried out for a period of 25 days – 15 days in Ukraine and 10 in France.
Besides, based on S.A. Chandrasekhar’s request, Villu will feature Vijay fan club’s recently released flag in one of the scenes. Prabhudeva has heeded to the request and has agreed to have such a scene after deliberations.
Tiff over Trisha and Nayantara never seems to be ending and media channels are have been centering on their issue over for a long time. Nayantara was supposed to be pairing up with Vijay for the film Kuruvi and somehow Trisha with her professional ethics replaced her. With the film turning out to be a great flop, Vijay has decided not to pair up with her anymore and went on for Nayantara for his film Villu directed by Prabhu Deva.
Prabhu Deva had developed a character for Nayantara that has a homely girl kind of role. However, after getting to take a look at her sizzling stills in Satyam, both Vijay and Prabhu Deva were perplexed whether audiences would accept nayan in a homely after watching her with sultry looks in Satyam. So both of them have decided and come to a conclusion of changing her characterization in the film…
Born to a French father and a Srilankan mother, the female who rewrote the limits of vulgarity for the screen through the movie Pathu Pathu, a Najil Naattu female Sona says she will allow only one man to kiss her for the screen and that is Vijay.
Sona, who is known for her item roles in Kollywood justifies her appearance in the movie Pathu Pathu as according to her the story demanded the same. She also doubt her own behavior if a same kind of situation arises in her real life like that of Pathu Pathu. She also threatens that she will remove more, provided the story has a demand for the same.
She also adds that she had a boy friend and was dating with him for almost 6 years. According to her, having one permanent guy is a nuisance as the man will not allow her as a free bird.
Sona, has now done few scenes for Kuselan.
Sona says Aarya is the poonthotta kaavalkaaran for her as of now, as he come for help to her if she is in any sort of trouble.
Actor Vijay is playing the lead role in a movie titled ‘MGR’, directed by Perarasu. Hold your horses and don’t jump to conclusions. This is a film within a film.
Vijay’s dad S. A. Chandrasekhar is directing a film called ‘Pandhayam’ with Nithin Sathya donning the lead role. Vijay will be playing himself in the film as a guest performer. Since he plays himself, he will be depicted as though he is shooting for a film under the direction of Perarasu. And that film’s title is ‘MGR’.
The scene was shot in Chennai recently. Nithin Sathya, the hero of ‘Pandhayam’ plays a die-hard Vijay fan in the film and so goes to see Vijay shooting for a movie. Prakash Raj and Sindhu Thulani also are in the cast. Vijay Anthony has scored the music.
It may be recalled that Vijay had earlier acted in a guest role in S A Chandrasekhar’s ‘Sukkran’.
Vijay is meanwhile busy with ‘Villu’, directed by Prabhudeva and the shooting for the film, produced by Ayngaran Internationals is on at a rapid pace.
Pandhayam’s trailer was launched on July 13, 2008. The function was presided over by Ramanarayanan, president of Producers’ Council. Actor Vijay released the trailer and Simran received it.
Vijay was accompanied by his wife Sangeetha to the function. AVM Saravanan, Kalaipuli Dhanu, Kaja Moideen, Mohan Natraj, and the film’s leading pair Nithin Sathya and Sindhu Tolani, cinematographer Srinivas and music director Vijay Anthony were present at the function.
S.A. Chandrasekhar, Vijay’s father, is directing and producing this film. Speaking on the occasion, Vijay congratulated his father for making such a good movie. Then he narrated how the role landed in Nithin Sathay’s hands. He said when his father discussed the film’s story with him, he found the subject to contain the thrill of Thirupachi or Sivakasi. He thought he would work on the subject later as he was occupied with quite a lot of films at that point. But after a few days, his father told him that he has decided to cast Nithin Sathya in the lead, to which Vijay happily agreed.
When Chandrasekhar spoke, he said that he could have very well waited for Vijay, but he decided not to because he was afraid of working with Vijay. He said that Vijay has grown in stardom, but he is still the same old strict director. He said his strictness could create friction between them, which he wanted to avoid.
Vijay- Nayantara action entertainer Villu, directed by Prabhu Deva is making brisk progress. Last week, during the nights, action scenes were canned for the film in and arond the busy streets of Chennai.The film has some awesome action scenes which are very crucial to the story. After completing the Chennai schedule, the unit has now left for Pollachi to shoot a song for the film.
According to sources in the industry, Prabhu Deva wants to shoot the ultimate Kuthu song for the film. Remember some of the most popular Kuthu numbers in Tamil cinema have featured our Ilayathalapathy. One of the major highlights of Vijay- Prabhu Deva’s earlier Pokkiri was the songs and its picturisation. Who can forget the chartbusting kuthu number Mambazham ma…?

Vijay, whose two consecutive movies failed is now having sleepless nights to make his next movie Villu successful.
Vijay’s Villu is coming up well and the priliminary shooting at Palani and the second phase of the film is paced well.
Dancer turned Director Prabhu Deva with Vijay is shooting the movie at Chennai from July first onwards. The shooting being carried out with all security measures around the Nandambakkam area and is done during and after mid night.
Vijay is rocking in the film by performing some amazing stunt sequences at Nandambakkam and the same is being filmed. The shooting at Chennai will be over in a fortnight’s time and then they would relocate to Tirunelveli for filming some important scenes.
Bikini girl Nayantara may join the Villu team in the middle of the second schedule and showcase more of her curves for public viewing.
